Academy Member: David Baker (Musician)

David has been involved in music since he could talk. He began his musical journey belting out hymns in the southern baptist church. He then became involved in various vocal groups in high school and college. He attended Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas on a football/vocal performance scholarship. Upon graduation, David returned to central Missouri and began playing acoustic shows in various bars and wineries. He has been the lead vocalist of a few central Missouri bands and is currently the lead vocalist in The Dave Baker Band.

​David recently began a new journey into the Trop Rock genre. His debut album “A Saltwater Opus in D Major (and other assorted keys)” is available.
